This lake is so wonderful. You could also take a look at Milk Lake while you're here at Sanford Lake; it's close by, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Soda Springs. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Fordyce Creek; why not camp at Grouse Ridge Campground if you're here at Sanford Lake. From Sanford Lake you get a great vista of Brady Mountain; most likely you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Loney       Lake is just a very short distance away. Yep, outdoors entertaining stuff to do are beyond doubt bountiful here at Sanford Lake. Summertime highs at Sanford Lake commonly tend to be in the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 40's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Sanford Lake temperatures fall to the 20's. Sanford Lake is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada. This lake is                  so wonderful. Really great skiing awaits you at Royal Gorge, and close by you stumble on the Round Lake Trail which is a nice hiking trail. All year is a delightful time in the Northern Sierra Nevada if you go for the outdoors. There are some fine whitewater spots on Yuba River - South Fork; there is a tremendous hiking trail close by called the Crooked Lakes Trail. Deer Creek Inn is a great place to get some rest, and don't forget to take a good little trip to Granite Creek. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Northern Sierra Nevada. During your tour to Sanford Lake you'll meet some folks from Truckee-Grass Valley for sure, and dry warm beds await you at Chalet View Lodge. Sanford Lake gets a large amount of water; through the month of January you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is July. So much entertaining stuff close to Sanford Lake, just mind-blowing.
