Many people like to go to Sand Ridge Lake. Just can't get enough of the Northern Sierra Nevada. At Sand Ridge Lake you can distinguish Basin Peak; Sand Ridge Lake is a fine place to camp, Onion Creek Campground is a fine place. A tremendous close by hotel is Donner Lake Village Resort. That right there is plenty already, but it keeps on going; Sand Ridge Lake has it all. Since you're here at Sand Ridge Lake why not go to Castle Pass, and you'll come across

A pleasant visit to Burnt Flat is a good way to spend an afternoon, and a day on the slopes of Boreal is just what you need. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Yuba River - South Fork, and the Mount Lola Trail is a splendid hiking trail close by. Sand Ridge Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern Sierra Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Always Inn Tahoe Bed and Breakfast is a great choice;
there are some great whitewater spots on Fordyce Creek. Sand Ridge Lake gets lots of water; the wettest month of the year is commonly January, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is July.
And that's not all there
is to do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. If the weather is nice here at Sand Ridge Lake, you can go for a hike along the Lola Montez Trail, and camping at Sand Ridge Lake is perfect fun, Van Norden Campground is a perfect local
campground. This lake is so wonderful. On a good day at Sand Ridge Lake you can take a hike along the Warren Lake Trail; the snow is pleasant at Soda Springs.
