If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Northern Sierra Nevada. Sand Ridge Lake is a great site to visit for more than one day, Van Norden Campground is a great site to camp nearby, and Burnt Flat is a good place to stretch your legs a bit. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Lola Montez Trail, and if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Truckee, Ca is a good choice. A good       spot to check out close to Sand Ridge Lake is Castle Pass, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Yuba River - South Fork. This lake is so wonderful. A striking lake like Paradise Lake in close proximity to Sand Ridge Lake is a brilliant site to visit, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Mount Lola Trail. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. And if that's not sufficient, there's                  a lot more to do close to Sand Ridge Lake.
