Very lovely scenery and good skiing is what you get at Boreal, and a perfect close by hotel is The Inn at Truckee. Burnt Flat is a picturesque site any time of year, and Paradise Lake is a splendid lake nearby. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Sand Ridge Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Warren Lake Trail, and if you                  need a site to stay Holiday Inn Express TRUCKEE is a glorious choice. Be careful coming to Sand Ridge Lake, you might not ever wanna return back home again. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Sand Ridge Lake has to offer, you can camp at Onion Creek Campground, and hiking along the Mount Lola Trail is tremendous fun. And if that's not sufficient there's plenty more entertaining things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Stay the night at Van Norden Campground; a perfect place for whitewater paddling is Yuba River - South Fork. Fordyce Creek is a brilliant whitewater spot right next door to Sand Ridge Lake, and Sand Ridge Lake is right by the Lola Montez Trail. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. Just can't get enough of the Northern Sierra Nevada.
