The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 60's, and winter nights come with lows in the 40's to San Vicente Reservoir. San Vicente Reservoir is located in the Santa Rosa Mountains. Around San Vicente Reservoir you don’t get a lot of precipitation; January is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is July. Man, is there plenty of entertaining stuff to do in the Santa Rosa Mountains. After a long day outdoors Barona Valley Ranch Resort and Casino is a wonderful place to spend a night or two; Santee Lakes Regional Park and Campground                  is a splendid campground nearby. So much exciting stuff to do here in the Santa Rosa Mountains, too wonderful to be true. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Santee Lodge. Cabrillo National Monument is a very fine location to have a look at near San Vicente Reservoir, and Rancho Los Coches RV Park is a glorious local campground. If you get bored of San Vicente Reservoir, you could also pop by close by Lake Jennings; Foster Canyon is another wonderful location to pop by close by. This lake is so wonderful.
