Camping is available at Second Falls Campground; a charming lake like Fifth Lake is a great location to take a look at. It is very dry here at Sam Mack Lake generally; all through the month of January you get the most rain around here; June is the month       with the least moisture. Sam Mack Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Days Inn Bishop is a splendid place to get some rest; you could always explore Agassiz Col. This lake is so wonderful.
