California has many beautiful lakes and Salmon Lake is one of them. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Salmon Lake has to offer, you can camp at Stoney Point Campground, and Kidd Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth a visit. At Salmon Lake through the summertime months highs are in the 80's; the night is a little colder of course, mostly in the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter
nights at Salmon Lake are in the 20's. Just can't get enough of the Klamath Mountains. Lakes are such calm locations, why not visit Echo Lake close to Salmon Lake, and Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is one of the destinations that are perfect to stop by nearby.
And that's not all you can do here at Salmon Lake. Salmon Lake is a brilliant place to visit for more than one day, Big Flat Campground is a brilliant place to camp nearby; don't leave Salmon

Lake without first checking out Stone Face. And if that's not enough there's a load more exciting stuff to do in the Klamath Mountains. There are other places here than Salmon Lake, for example Snowslide Lake. Salmon Lake is one of the lakes here in the Klamath Mountains.
This lake is so wonderful. Trinity River has a good whitewater paddling spot close by, and Black Mountain is a peak you can spot from Salmon Lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Deacon Lee Trail, and if you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Coffee Creek. Salmon Lake is a good place of common precipitation; most of the rain falls through December, and the driest month of the year is July.
