This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Salmon Lake; Cherry Point Trail is a brilliant local trail, and at Salmon Lake you can spot Cherry Point. During the months of summer highs here at Salmon Lake get into the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 40's while Salmon Lake night low temperatures       all through the wintertime are in the 20's. After a long day outdoors Plumpjack Squaw Valley Inn is a magnificent place to spend a night or two, and the slopes of Soda Springs are so inviting noone can resist. So many amusing things in the Northern Sierra Nevada, just striking. Cold Springs Campground is a glorious local campground, and a pleasant spree to Pelham Flat is a glorious way to spend an afternoon. Salmon Lake is located in the Northern Sierra                  Nevada. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are great; Huysink Lake is a lake that's near Salmon Lake, and if you need a site to stay Squaw Valley Lodge is a great choice. Salmon Lake gets a lot of water; the wettest month of the year is mostly January, that's the one that rains the most while July is frequently the driest month. Not far from Salmon Lake, you'll locate Nancy Lake which is a scenic lake, and Sterling Lake Campground is a fine campground nearby. Salmon Lake truly is in the middle of a charming outdoors paradise. There's good hiking along the Loch Leven Trail, and everyone close by loves skiing at Royal Gorge. And that's not everything you can do here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Good hiking is available along the Salmon Lake Trail, and you can run the rapids of Yuba River - South Fork. Lots of folks from Truckee-Grass Valley come to Salmon Lake, and Fordyce Creek is a nice whitewater spot close by.
