Having a pleasant time at Salmon Lake is uncomplicated. You're sure to encounter some fine people from Truckee-Grass Valley here, and lakes are such calm spots, why not take a look at Loch Leven Lakes. All the outdoors enjoyable things close to Salmon Lake will keep you coming back over and over. On a pleasant day at Salmon Lake you can take a hike along the Salmon Lake Trail,       and Yuba River - South Fork is a perfect whitewater spot close by. All the water falling down from the sky makes Salmon Lake a wet location; the wettest month of the year is usually January, that's the one that rains the most, and July is when it's the driest. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Everybody loves Pelham Flat, and in case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling                  on Fordyce Creek. You'll find a picturesque lake called High Loch Leven Lake near Salmon Lake; a brilliant panorama of striking Cherry Point is available. The Northern Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. All year is a wonderful time in the Northern Sierra Nevada if you have a thing about the outdoors. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Royal Gorge, and there is a splendid hiking trail close by called the Cherry Point Trail. The Loch Leven Trail is a nice hiking trail in the neighborhood of Salmon Lake, and if you need a location to stay Plumpjack Squaw Valley Inn is a pleasant choice. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Soda Springs in close proximity, and Sterling Lake Campground is a delightful campground nearby. Through the summertime, highs commonly are in the 80's at Salmon Lake. Throughout the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are generally in the 40's; nighttime lows in the 20's for Salmon Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
