     Through the months of summer, highs frequently are in the 80's at Saddlebag Lake, and the nighttime is rather cooler of course, mostly in the 30's. Highs all through the winter are ordinarily in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Saddlebag Lake through the winter typically fall into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Fantail Lake is a splendid lake in the neighborhood of Saddlebag Lake, and camping at Saddlebag Campground is always a nice experience. Man, is there  
   a lot of entertaining things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. If you come at the right time of year, Tenaya Creek offers some great whitewater, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; June Mountain is rather near.
You need to take a look at Dore Cliff since you're here at Saddlebag Lake, and a glorious site to camp here at Saddlebag Lake is Sawmill Campground. Saddlebag Lake is located in the Central Sierra Nevada. So much entertaining stuff to do at
 
               Saddlebag Lake, so little time. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Saddlebag Lake; Gaylor Lakes Trail is a nice local trail; a lovely lake like Maul Lake is a brilliant place to stop at.
At Saddlebag Lake you don’t see much rain; the month with most of the snow is January, and October is the month with the least moisture. Why not take a refreshing hike along the John Muir Trail - section 2, and Tioga Peak is a peak you can spot from Saddlebag Lake.
So much enjoyable stuff to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada, too brilliant to be true. The Pacific Crest Trail - section 12 offers hiking at its best, and dry warm beds await you at Heidelberg Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Near Saddlebag Lake you stumble on Dore Pass which is a tremendous site to go to; Yosemite Gateway Motel is a nice spot to get some rest.
