This lake is so wonderful. There's delightful hiking along the Canton Canyon Trail; a pleasant spree to Burro Flats is a great way to spend an afternoon. At Runkle Reservoir through the summer highs are in the
80's with night lows in the 60's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Runkle Reservoir. If you came for an overnight stay Ten Oaks Retirement Village is a
great location to camp, and the Simi Hills is a major feature of the area close by.
Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area is a very great place to have a look at next to Runkle Reservoir, and the good people of Oxnard-Thousand
Oaks-Ventura like to hang out nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Runkle Reservoir is good fun, RV Sand and Sea is a good local campground, and Piru Creek has a perfect whitewater paddling spot close by.
