Rucker Lake is a nice lake to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Near Rucker Lake you discover the Eagle Bird Trail which is a good hiking trail, and get drenched paddling on Fordyce Creek. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada. At Rucker Lake throughout the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's. a splendid adventure. What a place this is for outdoors folks. There are great spots to discover along the Canyon Creek Trail; camping at Lake Spaulding Campground is always a good experience. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy
the Northern Sierra Nevada. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Fuller Lake, and Royal Gorge is a great local ski area. This lake is so wonderful. At Rucker Lake you can spot Clyde Mountain; the
slopes of Soda Springs are so inviting noone can resist. All the outdoors enjoyable things in the Northern Sierra Nevada will keep you coming back over and over. A quick trip to Alder Creek next to Rucker Lake is a magnificent
idea, and if you're stopping by from Truckee-Grass Valley, you won't be the only one. Rucker Lake is a wet spot that gets a large amount of rainfall; January is the wettest month with most rain while July is frequently the driest month. Dry warm beds await you at Deer Creek Inn, and paddling on Yuba River - South Fork is so much fun.
