Round Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern Sierra Nevada. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to Round Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. All through the wintertime highs are generally in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Round Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Silver Lake is in the neighborhood, and Round Lake is brilliant enough to spend more       than a day at, Snag Lake Campground is a brilliant local campground. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Going for a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 15 is always a good adventure, and Lakes Basin is a beautiful spot any time of year. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Royal Gorge, and a great nearby hotel is Deer Creek Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and                  hit Yuba River - North Fork; a round of golf at nearby Graeagle Meadows Golf Course is a perfect way to kill some time. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff at Round Lake. There are splendid locations to explore along the Deer Lake Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Lavezzola Creek offers some good whitewater. That right there is a load of cool stuff already but it goes on, the Northern Sierra Nevada has it all. Fern Falls is a pretty site to pop by while you're at Round Lake, and at Round Lake you can catch a glimpse of Mount Elwell. Go for a hike on the Butcher Ranch Trail, and if you came to camp Upper Jamison Campground is a good location to do that. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Round Lake. Cub Lake is a perfect lake close to Round Lake, and if you need a place to stay Chalet View Lodge is a tremendous choice.
