This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. There's whitewater on Mokelumne River for all you adrenaline people. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Mokelumne River - North Fork near Ross Reservoir, and after a long day outdoors Angels Inn Motel is a great site to spend a night or two. You could also pop       by Kiefer Reservoir if you're here at Ross Reservoir; it's close by, and a wonderful close by hotel is Best Western Cedar Inn & Suites. This spot, the Central Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors exciting stuff. A pleasant place to camp here at Ross Reservoir is Jensen's Pick and Shovel Branch; if you've had enough of Ross Reservoir, Emery Reservoir is nearby. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Sierra Nevada. High temperatures at Ross Reservoir                  through the warmest time of the year are in the 90's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Ross Reservoir sink into the 30's.
