Around Ross Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; the month with most of the rain is February, and the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful. There's pleasant hiking along the Morgan Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Hillside Inn. Ross Lake is a beautiful lake in the Santa Ana Mountains. At Ross Lake through the long summer days highs are in the 90's, and the night is quite       chillier of course, usually in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 60's, and night lows through the winter for Ross Lake tend to be in the 30's. Enjoy a round of golf at Fallbrook Golf Club not far from Ross Lake; after a long day outdoors Fallbrook Country Inn is a nice spot to spend a night or two. So much exciting stuff to do at Ross Lake, so little time. Ross Lake is not far at all from San Diego-Carlsbad-San Marcos, and you can stay the night                  at Fallbrook Kamp Retreat. Lakes? Sure, Meadows Lake is close by, and the Clark Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Now, you may think that's lots but there's even more exciting things to do here in the Santa Ana Mountains. Martin Reservoir is a perfect lake right next door to Ross Lake, and there are some great whitewater spots on Santa Margarita River. Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! The Santa Ana Mountains is peerless! Good hiking is available along the Clark Trail.
