     Romero Reservoir is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is located in the wonderful Santa Ynez Mountains. Romero Reservoir is a great site to visit for more than one day, Upper Blue Canyon Campground is a great site to camp nearby, and you can hit the beach if you want, West Beach is practically right here. While you're here at Romero Reservoir, you could also visit wonderful Ortega Reservoir, and you might also want to pay a visit to Romero Canyon since you're  
   here at Romero Reservoir.
That right there is loads of entertaining things already but it goes on, the Santa Ynez Mountains has it all. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Romero Trail, and if you have the time, Channel Islands National Park is a national park worth going to. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Montecito Inn, and East Beach is relatively close by if you're in a beach type of mood. Be careful coming to the Santa Ynez Mountains,
 
               you might not ever want to go back home again. After a long day outdoors Inn on Summer Hill is a great spot to spend a night or two, and do take a hike on the Blue Canyon Trail.
Summertime highs at Romero Reservoir mostly tend to be in the 90's while night lows are frequently in the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 60's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Romero Reservoir temperatures sink to the 30's. If you're here at Romero Reservoir, you could stop by Garrapata Creek, and Park Lane Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could visit. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up.
You truly should go for Romero Reservoir. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Romero Reservoir; San Ysidro Trail is a splendid local trail, and Blue Canyon Campground is a good local campground. Romero Reservoir is a location that is rather arid generally; during February this area sees the most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. You don’t have to go far from Romero Reservoir to catch a sight of the water at Ortega Dam, and you can see Ortega Hill from Romero Reservoir.

Hi, please take a look at the attached photo.  I took it today in La Jolla Canyon, at the water fall (dry now).  Notice that a large rock appears to be loose and or without support.  It looks like the rock is supporting the trail above.  Someone should take a closer look at that rock.  In heavy rain it could come down.  It looks unstable....
