     This lake is so wonderful. Ortega Hill is clearly visible from Romero Reservoir; Montecito Inn is a great spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. You're almost certainly addicted to lakes, Ortega Reservoir is one of those nearby, and at Ortega Dam in the neighborhood of Romero Reservoir there are some interesting things to see. This lake is located in the wonderful Santa Ynez Mountains.
Man, is there heaps of fun things to do in the Santa Ynez
 
   Mountains. During your stay at Romero Reservoir do stop at close by West Beach, and if you need a site to stay Inn on Summer Hill is a great choice. Romero Reservoir is a location that is relatively dehydrated mostly; through February this area sees the most rain, and July is when it's the driest. One of the best things about Romero Reservoir is its proximity to East Beach, and Romero Canyon is another magnificent place to go to nearby.
You truly have to go
 
               for the Santa Ynez Mountains. Upper Blue Canyon Campground is a pleasant campground nearby, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the San Ysidro Trail. If only every place had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff, what a great earth it would be. The Romero Trail is a wonderful hiking trail close to Romero Reservoir, and don't forget to take a magnificent little journey to Garrapata Creek. If you came for an overnight stay Blue Canyon Campground is a great place to camp, and there is a brilliant hiking trail close by called the Blue Canyon Trail.
And if that's not enough, there's plenty more to do right next door to Romero Reservoir. Lakes are fine; Park Lane Reservoir is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Romero Reservoir; don't miss out on a spree to Channel Islands National Park if you're here. Summertime highs at Romero Reservoir commonly tend to be in the 90's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 60's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Romero Reservoir temperatures fall to the 30's.

Hi, please take a look at the attached photo.  I took it today in La Jolla Canyon, at the water fall (dry now).  Notice that a large rock appears to be loose and or without support.  It looks like the rock is supporting the trail above.  Someone should take a closer look at that rock.  In heavy rain it could come down.  It looks unstable....
