You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Camping is available at Long Ravine Campground, and there is a brilliant hiking trail close by called the Green Valley Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Rollins Reservoir there are plenty of folks from Truckee-Grass Valley; playing golf is lots of fun at Nevada County Country Club.       Rollins Reservoir is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada. After a long day outdoors Golden Chain Resort Motel is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two, and some nearby water includes Greenhorn Creek. So many entertaining things to do here at Rollins Reservoir, too tremendous to be true. Near Rollins Reservoir you stumble on the Humbug Trail which is a glorious hiking trail; the summit of Colfax Hill can be seen from Rollins Reservoir. Get yourself into                  a kayak and hit American River - North Fork, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Gold Country Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Cape Horn is not far from Rollins Reservoir at all; on a pleasant day you can take a hike along the South Yuba Trail. That right there is lots of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Northern Sierra Nevada has it all. Drift down the rapids of Bear River in a kayak; why not camp at Peninsula Camping and Boating Resort since you're here at Rollins Reservoir. The warmest time of the year at Rollins Reservoir comes with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's while Rollins Reservoir night low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 20's.
