Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Rollins Reservoir. A lake nearby is Yuba Reservoir, and Cape Horn is in close proximity and always good to stop by. Rollins Reservoir gets a large amount of water; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain, and July on the other hand is the driest.       This lake is so wonderful. Golden Chain Resort Motel is a glorious place to get some rest, and since you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Truckee-Grass Valley. Yep, outdoors fun stuff truly is plentiful here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Take a hike on the Green Valley Trail, and a round of golf at nearby Nevada County Country Club is a great way to kill some time. This lake is so wonderful. Rollins Reservoir is nice enough to spend more than                  a day at, Long Ravine Campground is a nice local campground, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Bear River. During the summertime at Rollins Reservoir temperatures are usually in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's while the cold winter nights at Rollins Reservoir are in the 20's. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Gold Country Inn, and on a gorgeous day you obtain a splendid panorama of Colfax Hill from Rollins Reservoir. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. There's whitewater on American River - North Fork for all you adrenaline kick people; why not take a refreshing hike along the South Yuba Trail. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Rollins Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
