Rollins Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Colfax Hill is wonderful and can be spotted from Rollins Reservoir, and in close proximity to Rollins Reservoir you come across a golf course called Nevada County Country Club. So much exciting stuff in close proximity to Rollins Reservoir, absolutely astonishing. This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of people from Truckee-Grass Valley here, and       going for a hike on the Humbug Trail is always a glorious adventure. There is a great hiking trail in close proximity to Rollins Reservoir called the South Yuba Trail. Lakes? Sure, Swan Lake Junior is in the neighborhood. For the period of the long summer days at Rollins Reservoir temperatures are mostly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Rollins                  Reservoir are in the 20's. Rollins Reservoir gets a great deal of water; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful. Near Rollins Reservoir you stumble on the Green Valley Trail which is a great hiking trail, and there's whitewater on American River - North Fork for all you adrenaline kick people. But wait, there's more cool things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. There are some great whitewater spots on Bear River; a great location to camp here at Rollins Reservoir is Peninsula Camping and Boating Resort. Having a pleasant time at Rollins Reservoir is uncomplicated. Yuba Reservoir is a fine lake right next door to Rollins Reservoir, and a good close by hotel is Golden Chain Resort Motel.
