Why not stop by Rodden Lake if you're passing through these parts. Rodden Lake is regularly a pretty dried up site; most of the rain falls through January, and the driest month of the year is July. If you came for an overnight stay Big Bear Park is a great location to camp; Holiday Inn Express Oakdale, Ca is a nice site to get some rest. Why not camp at Knights Ferry Resort since you're here at Rodden Lake, and if you need a site to stay Best Western Rama Inn is a tremendous choice. If you come at the right time of year, Stanislaus River offers some great whitewater, and there are plenty of folks from Modesto here.
