There are some glorious whitewater spots on Kings River - Middle Fork, and if you came to camp Willow Campground is a great spot to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Do       visit Coyote Lake right next door to Rocky Bottom Lake, it's a striking lake; don't leave Rocky Bottom Lake without first going for a hike along the John Muir Trail - Pacific Crest Section. Through the days of summer at Rocky Bottom Lake highs are mostly in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. During the winter the highs are typically in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Rocky Bottom Lake are in the 20's.
