All through the long summer days at Rock Lake highs are commonly in the 90's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Rock Lake. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Soda       Springs while you're here, and Jackson Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth checking out. This lake is so wonderful. Rock Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Lindsey Campground is a brilliant local campground, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Rock Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Rock Lake; Crooked Lakes Trail is a great local trail; Bowman                  Mountain is a peak you can spot from Rock Lake. If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. The Round Lake Trail offers hiking at its best, and if you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Fordyce Creek. This place, the Northern Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors amusing things. What would winter be without some skiing at Royal Gorge; Poison Canyon is a great location to explore. Rock Lake truly is in the middle of a delightful outdoors paradise. A pleasant nearby hotel is Chalet View Lodge. Yuba River - South Fork has a perfect whitewater paddling spot close by; not far from Rock Lake you'll discover Lower Rock Lake which is a delightful lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada. There's nice hiking along the Bowman Mountain Trail. There's so much to do here at Rock Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Jackson Creek Campground is a splendid location for that. What a location this is for outdoors folks.
