This lake is so wonderful. Rock Lake is not the only place nearby, Lower Rock Lake is a nearby lake; a good close by hotel is Deer Creek Inn. Whitewater paddling is good on Yuba River - South Fork. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Rock Lake has to offer, you can camp at Jackson Creek Campground. Rock Lake gets a common amount of rain; most of the rain falls all through January while July is typically the       driest month. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the Northern Sierra Nevada has to offer. If the weather is pretty, you obtain a brilliant vista of Bowman Mountain from Rock Lake, and in case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Fordyce Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Rock Lake is a site with many visitors from Truckee-Grass Valley; on a brilliant day you can take a hike                  along the Bowman Mountain Trail. There's so much to do here at Rock Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lindsey Campground is a good place for that. All through the summer at Rock Lake temperatures are frequently in the 90's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Rock Lake are in the 20's. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! The Northern Sierra Nevada is peerless!
