Put some time aside to spend at Yellow Jacket Spring while you're here at Rock Lake, and Blake Spring Campground is a fine campground nearby. You simply must take a look at Little Pilot Rock if you're here at Rock Lake; close by you come across the Dan East Trail which is a great hiking trail. Rock Lake is a beautiful lake in the Coast Ranges. The high level of rain makes Rock Lake a relatively wet site; most of the rain falls during       December; the driest of the months is July. Yeah, come up here to the Coast Ranges for a great time. Going for a hike on the Blake Trail is always a fine adventure, and if you come at the right time of year, Trinity River - South Fork offers some fine whitewater. During the summer months here at Rock Lake, high temperatures typically get into the 60's, and the nighttime is fairly cooler of course, typically in the 50's. Highs through the winter are frequently                  in the 50's, and overnight lows at Rock Lake during the wintertime typically plunge into the 40's. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Mad River, and if you've had enough of Rock Lake, Lake Mountain is nearby. Be careful coming to the Coast Ranges, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Everybody loves Filaree Flat, and if you're popping by from Eureka-Arcata-Fortuna, you won't be the only one. Singleton Butte is clearly visible from Rock Lake. You definitely must like Rock Lake. Rock Lake is a glorious location to visit for more than one day, Slide Creek Campground is a glorious location to camp nearby, as expected you could also explore Guy Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful.
