     This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Backpackers Campground is always a wonderful experience, and you can have a glorious hiking adventure along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 13. At Rock Lake throughout the summer months highs are in the 60's with nighttime lows in the 40's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 30's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Rock Lake sink into the 10's. Rock Lake is a relatively  
   wet place mostly with a good deal of rain; the wettest month of the year is generally January, that's the one that snows the most, and the driest month is July.
But wait, there's more fun stuff to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada. If you get bored of Rock Lake, you could also have a look at close by Elephant Rock Lake; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Kirkwood is rather near. Having a perfect time in the Northern Sierra Nevada is uncomplicated. Here at Rock
 
               Lake you can catch a sight of Elephant Rock, and hiking along the Emigrant Trail is magnificent fun. Rock Lake is located in the Northern Sierra Nevada.
Drift down the rapids of Stanislaus River - Middle Fork in a kayak, and Rock Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Silver Valley Campground is a delightful local campground. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay The Meadow is a brilliant choice; a day on the slopes of Bear Valley is just what you need.
So much enjoyable stuff in the neighborhood of Rock Lake, absolutely phenomenal. Dry warm beds await you at The Mountain Club, and paddling on Mokelumne River - North Fork is so much fun. Mud Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit, and going for a hike along the Charity Valley Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area.
