For the period       of the summer here at Rising River Lake, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's while Rising River Lake overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Hat Creek Hereford Ranch is always a perfect experience; Lassen Volcanic National Park is a delightful local destination. Rising River Lake is right by the                  Bunchgrass Trail; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Pit River. This site, the Southern Cascade Range, has so much outdoors entertaining things. Be careful coming to Rising River Lake, you might not ever wanna return home again. Hiking along the Chaos Crags Trail is tremendous fun, and if you came to camp Cassel Campground is a fine site to do that.
