     Rising River Lake is located in the Southern Cascade Range. If you get bored of Rising River Lake, you could also have a look at close by Baum Lake, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Rock Spring. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Southern Cascade Range. Rising River Lake is not the only location close by, Crystal Lake is a close by lake; there's whitewater on Pit River for all you adrenaline rush seekers.
For the period
 
   of the summer here at Rising River Lake, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's while Rising River Lake overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Hat Creek Hereford Ranch is always a perfect experience; Lassen Volcanic National Park is a delightful local destination. Rising River Lake is right by the  
               Bunchgrass Trail; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Pit River.
This site, the Southern Cascade Range, has so much outdoors entertaining things. Be careful coming to Rising River Lake, you might not ever wanna return home again. Hiking along the Chaos Crags Trail is tremendous fun, and if you came to camp Cassel Campground is a fine site to do that. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Rising River Lake; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow, and July is when it's the driest.

...ourse is about 30 minutes in Fall River Mills. The north entrance of Lassen National Park is a short 20 minute drive and Subway Cave, a volcanic formed tube , is a 5 minute drive. Another attraction to this area is the Thousand Lake Wilderness area, hiking and beautiful scenery are part of the experience in this remote wilderness area. If you aren't up to all these activities you can just relax here in the park, watching the ducks in the lake and the fish jumping or fish for our trophy rainbow trout with barbless flies or barbless single hook spinners. Our lake Catherine is catch and release only.

All of our RV sites are full hookups, which include water, sewer, electric, cable and 2 hours of free wi-fi. We have a rec-hall for our guests to gather for groups or family gatherings. There is a nice area that has picnic tables for gatherings with a large BBQ for our guests to use.
Our bathhouse has large showers and stalls, there is a laundry faclilty for the guests convience. A full running restaurant that is open year round from 9am to 7pm. There is a general store. We are lo...
