California has many beautiful lakes and Reflection Lake is one of them. Reflection Lake is a beautiful lake in the Southern Cascade Range. Reflection Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Mill Creek RV Park is a tremendous local campground, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Heart Lake Twin Meadows Trail. Why not visit Manzanita Lake Dam since you're here, and a splendid spot to camp here at Reflection Lake is Bunchgrass Campground.

This lake is so wonderful. This is a great region for people who like lakes. Manzanita Lake is a lake close at hand, and you might also want to pay a visit to Noble Pass since you're here at Reflection Lake. Through the summer here at Reflection Lake, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 40's while Reflection Lake night low temperatures during the winter are
in the 10's. What a place this is for outdoors folks. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Lily Pond; Dwarf Forest is a good forest neighborhood nearby.
So many fun things to do in the Southern Cascade Range, not sufficient time. Reflection Lake is right by the Bunchgrass Trail; the top of Eskimo Hill is easily spotted from Reflection Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Bailey Creek Cottages is a perfect choice. Reflection Lake ordinarily gets much rainfall; December is the month that gets the most snow, and the driest month is July.
There's no way someone can get bored here in the Southern Cascade Range. The Chaos Crags Trail offers hiking at its best, and the sights at Lassen Volcanic National Park will blow your mind.

MORE STUFF NEARBY:

Heart Lake Twin Meadows Trail
Twin Meadows was originally named White Meadows and our old family cabin is the one between the meadows. They ran cattle with T.A.Spencer the first pres. of the Tehama Co. Cattleman's Assoc. The forming of the first association was in response to the loss of grazing rights when the park was formed. The shortage of beef during WW1 prompted Woodrow Wilson to state that if necessary they would raise sheep on the lawn of the White House. ...

I ALSO HAVE GONE CAMPING AT HOLE IN THE GROUND SINCE I WAS A LITTLE GIRL I WOULDNT HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY I LOVE IT THERE AND NOW SO DO MY KIDS....
I've been going to hole in the ground, off and on for 40 years. From when I was a kid hiking in the forest, tubing down the creek, swimming in the pools, and fishing for planted trout that the hatchery would toss in the creek. Now it is a restricted salmon run, there is no planters and restrictions on the type of tackle you can use. The fishing was great as a kid. I like how peaceful it is, with the sound of creek and an occasional bluejay chirping. I enjoy cooking on the wood stoves. There are only a hand full left, (what a shame). I will be meeting one of my brothers and dad at the hole in three weeks. My large family with foster children love going to the hole. Some have been before and some will experience it for the first time. **lot of good memories**...

...few minutes away as is fly fishing in the Hat Creek trophy area and Baum Lake. Burney Falls and lake Britton are about 23 miles away.

A 4 1/2 star golf course is about 30 minutes in Fall River Mills. The north entrance of Lassen National Park is a short 20 minute drive and Subway Cave, a volcanic formed tube , is a 5 minute drive. Another attraction to this area is the Thousand Lake Wilderness area, hiking and beautiful scenery are part of the experience in this remote wilderness area. If you aren't up to all these activities you can just relax here in the park, watching the ducks in the lake and the fish jumping or fish for our trophy rainbow trout with barbless flies or barbless singe hook spinners. Our lake Catherine is catch and release only.

All of our RV sites are full hookups, which include water, sewer, electric, cable and 2 hours of free wi-fi. We have a rec-hall for our guests to gather for groups or family gatherings. There is a nice area that has picnic tables for gatherings with a large BBQ for our guests to use.

Potato Patch Campground
18 miles away
We camp at Potato Patch campground annually with several other families. It is a very nice campground on a beautiful river. There is not a lot to do nearby though and it is a primitive campground with pit toilets and no showers. There are no hookups for RVs, but we tent camp anyway. We mostly play by the river (very cold water). Our attraction is the beauty and the people we camp with. We used to fish, but it is all catch and release. I can definitely recommend it but you have to be looking for a relaxing and beautiful setting and mostly doing not much of anything.
