    If you are in San Mateo county it's always a good idea to stop by Reflection Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend San Lorenzo River, and National at Oak Creek Palo Alto is a great spot to get some rest. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Reflection Lake; Butano Ridge Loop Trail is a fine local trail, and the summit  
   of Burns Chalks can be spotted from Reflection Lake. Reflection Lake gets a typical amount of yearly rainfall; the month with most of the rain is January, and July on the other hand is the driest.
Alpine Creek is a picturesque stream that is worth going to. This place, the Santa Cruz Mountains, has so much outdoors fun things. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Reflection Lake has to offer, you can camp at Santa Cruz North / Costanoa KOA,
 
               and you're most likely addicted to lakes, Pearsons Pond is one of those close by. Through the summertime, highs commonly are in the 60's at Reflection Lake. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's; overnight lows at Reflection Lake throughout the wintertime frequently drop into the 40's.
There's so much to do here at Reflection Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Butano State Park is a wonderful site for that, and wonderful hiking is available along the Alambique Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Redwood City, Ca; Juan Bautista De Anza National Historic Trail is a tremendous national park. Reflection Lake is one of the lakes here in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
There's magnificent hiking along the Coyote Ridge Trail, and if you fancy a little side tour, try Rodgers Gulch. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff close to Reflection Lake. Looking for something right next door to Reflection Lake? Knuedler Lake is nearby, and if you come at the right time of year, Pescadero Creek offers some brilliant whitewater.
