Reese Reservoir is a lake worth visiting. Reese Reservoir gets a common amount of rain; January is when you get the most rain here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Go for a hike on the Dry Creek Trail, and a journey to Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is worthwhile. One of the governing highlights of the surroundings of Reese Reservoir is Seventeen Hill. Paddling on Clear Creek Sacramento Tributary is so much fun, and Saeltzer Dam is a lovely place, definitely worth a visit. This lake is so wonderful.  | 17 miles away Beehive campground is pretty good, little rocky and if the water is down that can be a problem. The do have several outhouses there and it is easy to get to. Gregory Creek is better but has been closed for many years due to the eagles nesting. Invest in wasp traps! Bears are not to bad in the 3 years we have camped there only saw one and it was running from the lake. ... |
