Big Valley Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and if you're here you can take a hike along the John Muir Trail - section 2. Red Lake is a beautiful lake in the Central Sierra Nevada. Just can't get enough of the Central Sierra Nevada. Dry warm beds await you at Heidelberg Inn, and hiking along the Gaylor Lakes Trail is wonderful fun. And if that's not enough there's a lot more entertaining stuff to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. South Fork

| | Mill Creek is a stream that you may encounter during your stay, and camping at Saddlebag Campground is always a perfect experience. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Virginia Lakes. That right there is plenty already, but it keeps on going; Red Lake has it all. Have a great hiking adventure along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 12, and delightful scenery and magnificent skiing is what you get at June Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. While | |

staying at Red Lake you could always look at Lake Canyon; if the weather is wonderful, you obtain a delightful vista of Black Mountain from Red Lake. High temperatures at Red Lake through the summer are in the 80's, and through the
night it cools down to the 30's. Through the wintertime highs are frequently in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Red Lake. Red Lake is a location that is pretty waterless mostly; the month of January is the
wettest with most of the snow while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. After a long day outdoors Yosemite Gateway Motel is a nice site to spend a night or two; camping is available at Sawmill Campground.
