The Mountain Club is a pleasant place to get some rest, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Wet Meadows Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Near Raymond Lake you stumble on the Charity Valley Trail which is a nice hiking trail, and you're sure to encounter some fine folks from Gardnerville Ranchos here. All through the summer       highs here at Raymond Lake get into the 70's with night lows in the 40's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's; nighttime lows during the wintertime for Raymond Lake tend to be in the 10's. Be careful coming to the Northern Sierra Nevada, you might not ever wanna go home again. There is a glorious hiking trail close to Raymond Lake called the Burnside Lake Trail; not far from Raymond Lake you'll locate Summit Lake which is a pretty lake. On                  a splendid day at Raymond Lake you can take a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 13, and Bear Valley is a very popular ski area around here. That right there is heaps of entertaining things already but it goes on, the Northern Sierra Nevada has it all. Get your heart pumping on the delightful whitewater of Carson River - East Fork, and Kirkwood has magnificent slopes and a friendly staff. You get a brilliant panorama of Raymond Peak from Raymond Lake. All the outdoors cool stuff in the vicinity of Raymond Lake will keep you coming back over and over. If you came for an overnight stay Toiyabe Campground is a fine location to camp, and you have to positively dedicate some time to Raymond Meadows if you're here at Raymond Lake. Raymond Lake typically gets much precipitation; most of the snow falls through January, and the driest month of the year is July.
