Go to Rattlesnake Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. For the duration of the summer highs here at Rattlesnake Lake get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Rattlesnake Lake. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Klamath Mountains. All our national parks are magnificent places to stop by, and Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is no

| | exception. Rattlesnake Lake gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; through December this area sees the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. What a place this is for outdoors people. A good spot to camp here at Rattlesnake Lake is Hobo Gulch Campground, and a short visit to Last Chance Spring is always worthwhile. Salmon River - South Fork has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby, and you can have a delightful hiking adventure | |

along the Tanners Peak Trail. Cabin Peak can be seen from Rattlesnake Lake, and why not camp at Snipes' Villa if you're here at Rattlesnake Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Rattlesnake Lake, you could also
have a look at close by Pony Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Garden Gulch Trail. So many entertaining things in the Klamath Mountains, just fantastic. Mullane Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore; do take a hike on the Deacon Lee Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Klamath Mountains.
