Why not stop by Rattlesnake Lake if you're passing through these parts. Best Western Northwoods Inn is a nice site to get some rest. You can run the rapids of Smith River - South Fork right next door to Rattlesnake Lake; lakes are such calm sites, why not stop at Bummer Lake. Rattlesnake Lake is one of the lakes here in the Coast Ranges. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the Coast Ranges has to offer. Canthook Creek is a good

| | local stream, and there are plenty of people from Crescent City North here at Rattlesnake Lake. The high level of rainfall makes Rattlesnake Lake a rather wet location; during December this area sees the most rain, and July is when it's the driest. At Rattlesnake Lake throughout the warm months highs are in the 60's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's, and nighttime lows in the 30's for Rattlesnake Lake. | |

Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! The Coast Ranges rocks! Why not take a refreshing hike along the French Hill Trail; Rattlesnake Flat is a pretty location any time of year. This lake is so wonderful. Redwood National
and State Parks is a splendid place next to Rattlesnake Lake, and at Rattlesnake Lake you can spot Canthook Mountain. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. If you came for an overnight stay Big Flat Campground is a pleasant
place to camp, and the Paradise Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Camp Marigold Motel and RV Park is a tremendous campground nearby, and if you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Crescent City is a
perfect choice. Rattlesnake Lake is right by the Summit Valley Trail; there's whitewater on Goose Creek for all you adrenaline people.
