This lake is so wonderful. Do pay a visit to Redwood National and State Parks while you're here at Rattlesnake Lake, and Big Flat Campground is a good campground nearby. A magnificent nearby hotel is Super 8 Crescent City, and Best Western Northwoods Inn is a splendid place to get some rest. This       lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Goose Creek, and Rattlesnake Lake is a delightful spot to visit for more than one day, Camp Marigold Motel and RV Park is a delightful spot to camp nearby. Rattlesnake Lake is one of the lakes here in the Coast Ranges. Through the months of summer at Rattlesnake Lake highs are generally in the 60's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's with winter                  lows in the 30's overnight here at Rattlesnake Lake. Having a tremendous time in the Coast Ranges is trouble-free. Get soaked paddling on Smith River - South Fork, and Bummer Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by. And if that's not enough, there's a heap more to do in the neighborhood of Rattlesnake Lake. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun things the Coast Ranges has to offer. If you get bored of Rattlesnake Lake, you could also explore nearby Dry Lake, and the Summit Valley Trail offers hiking at its best. Rattlesnake Lake is a wet site that gets much rain; the month with most of the rain is December, and the driest of the months is July. If only every site had this much outdoors entertaining stuff, what a great earth it would be. There's fine hiking along the Paradise Trail, and Rattlesnake Flat is a tremendous place here at Rattlesnake Lake.
