If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Sierra Madre. Why not camp at Quail Canyon Campground while you're here at Quail Lake, and a lake close by is Pyramid Lake. Camping is available at Pyramid Lake Campground and RV, and Piru Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby. Don't leave Quail Lake without first going for a hike along the White Mountain Trail; dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Gorman. For the period of the months

| | of summer at Quail Lake highs are usually in the 90's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Quail Lake. This site, the Sierra Madre, has so much outdoors cool stuff. There are delightful places to look at along the Snowy Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Bailey Trail is always a great adventure, | |

and if you get bored of Quail Lake you could also go to nearby Castac Lake. The Sierra Madre scenery is always beautiful. So many amusing things near Quail Lake, just mind-blowing. If you don't mind getting wet, you can always
go whitewater paddling on Piru Creek, and if you need a site to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites FRAZIER PARK is a great choice. Quail Lake is usually a quite dry location; the month with most of the rain is February, and the driest month is July.

Notice that a large rock appears to be loose and or without support. It looks like the rock is supporting the trail above. Someone should take a closer look at that rock. In heavy rain it could come down. It looks unstable.... |
