That right there is loads of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Sierra Madre has it all. You have to go to Nugget Point when you're here at Pyramid Lake, and you can run the rapids of Piru Creek. All the outdoors entertaining things right next door to Pyramid Lake will keep you coming back persistently. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Beartrap Spring, and Elderberry Forebay is a nearby lake that you could stop by. Having a nice time at Pyramid

| | Lake is painless. Camping at Tumble Inn Campground is always a pleasant experience; Beartrap Canyon is also a fine site to look at. Pyramid Lake gets very little precipitation; February is when you get the most rain here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. during the winter are normally in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Pyramid Lake are in the 30's. Pyramid Lake is a beautiful lake in the Sierra Madre. This lake is so wonderful. Near Pyramid Lake you stumble on the Pothole
Trail which is a great hiking trail, and Frenchmans Flat is a great spot here at Pyramid Lake. If you came to camp Los Alamos Campground is a brilliant spot to do that, and Best Rest Inn Lebec Frazier is a nice site to get some rest.
You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the Sierra Madre. The Canton Canyon Trail is a great hiking trail close to Pyramid Lake, and if you're here, you could also visit wonderful Quail Lake.
On a beautiful day you acquire a panorama of Pyramid Rock from Pyramid Lake, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Bailey Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Econo Lodge Gorman is a great choice, and Piru Creek is a magnificent whitewater spot close by.

 | 25 miles away 1 PHOTO Hi, please take a look at the attached photo. I took it today in La Jolla Canyon, at the water fall (dry now). Notice that a large rock appears to be loose and or without support. It looks like the rock is supporting the trail above. Someone should take a closer look at that rock. In heavy rain it could come down. It looks unstable.... |
