Pulgas Lake is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, Catalina RV Park is a delightful place to camp nearby, and don't leave Pulgas Lake without first going for a hike along the Clark Trail. Pulgas Lake is not the only place nearby, Lake Oneill is a nearby lake; a lake nearby is Case Springs Lake. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. There's perfect hiking along the Chiquito Trail, and at Pulgas Lake Dam in close proximity to Pulgas

| | Lake there are some out of the ordinary things to see. All through the warm days of summer at Pulgas Lake highs are typically in the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 60's with winter lows in the 40's overnight here at Pulgas Lake.

close by hotel is Oceanside Travelodge. Pulgas Lake is pretty dried up typically; the wettest month of the year is generally January, that's the one that rains the most while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant place for whitewater paddling close to Pulgas Lake is Santa Margarita River; if you need a place to stay Oceanside Marina Suites is a splendid choice. Here at Pulgas Lake there are plenty of folks from San Diego-Carlsbad-San Marcos; if you crave a little side trip, try Horno Summit.
