Merlo Lake is a brilliant lake near Preston Lake, and camping at Cloverdale RV Park is always a delightful experience. This lake is located in the wonderful Coast Ranges. This lake is so wonderful. All year is a magnificent time in the Coast Ranges if you go for the outdoors.       Oat Valley is a good spot to check out, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Cloverdale Inn. A good deal of rain falls at Preston Lake; the month with most of the rain is January, and July is the month with the least moisture. So much exciting stuff to do here in the Coast Ranges, too delightful to be true. Some of the water close by flows, like Ash Creek, and there are plenty of folks from Clearlake here at Preston Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater                  paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Russian River, and don't leave Preston Lake without first going for a hike along the Cadd Fire Trail. This place, Preston Lake, it simply has so much outdoors cool stuff. There are other spots here than Preston Lake, for example Lake Sonoma, and get your pulse rate up on the magnificent whitewater of Big Sulphur Creek. At Preston Lake throughout the warmest time of the year highs are in the 90's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's.
