Preston Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Naco West is a wonderful local campground, and if you need a location to stay Cloverdale Oaks Inn is a great choice. Merlo Lake is a brilliant lake near Preston Lake, and camping at Cloverdale RV Park is always a delightful experience. This lake is located in the wonderful Coast Ranges. This lake is so wonderful. All year is a magnificent time in the Coast Ranges if you go for the outdoors.

| | Oat Valley is a good spot to check out, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Cloverdale Inn. A good deal of rain falls at Preston Lake; the month with most of the rain is January, and July is the month with the least moisture. So much exciting stuff to do here in the Coast Ranges, too delightful to be true. Some of the water close by flows, like Ash Creek, and there are plenty of folks from Clearlake here at Preston Lake. paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Russian River, and don't leave Preston Lake without first going for a hike along the Cadd Fire Trail. This place, Preston Lake, it simply has so much outdoors cool
stuff. There are other spots here than Preston Lake, for example Lake Sonoma, and get your pulse rate up on the magnificent whitewater of Big Sulphur Creek. At Preston Lake throughout the warmest time of the year highs are in
the 90's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. Highs all through the wintertime are regularly in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Preston Lake are in the 30's.

 | You don't mention the beautiful wine country roads to either drive through or ride bikes on, or Lake Sonoma's Yorty Creek, which is a nearby family swimming hole. You can kayak, swim, picnic and hike there. You can also paddle boat in to a few campgrounds.
