Don't leave Porter Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Pine Creek Trail, and Cedar Pass Campground is a brilliant local campground. That right there is loads of fun things already but it goes on, the Warner Mountains has it all. Good hiking is available along the Owl Creek Trail; a magnificent place close by is Fern Spring Canyon. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things       close to Porter Reservoir. At Porter Reservoir throughout the summer highs are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Porter Reservoir. At Porter Reservoir you don’t see much rain; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. Why not camp at Sully's Trailer Lodge while you're here at Porter Reservoir, and if you                  need a location to stay Super 8 Motel - Alturas is a brilliant choice. This lake is located in the wonderful Warner Mountains. This lake is so wonderful.
