| I am the Parks Department's research writer, and my job is to write the brochure text for each park in our system. Lake Perris State Recreation Area (SRA) is the only name of the park. There is no Lake Perris State Park. The SRA is so large that it is easy to think that it comes in more than one segment. When you are at Lake Perris SRA you are visiting one of the system's most popular parks. Visitors drive for long distances to enjoy the lake and campgrounds, and to visit the Indian Museum. Local residents love to take advantage of their proximity to this park, and it is true that Perris residents are among our many visitors. Perris Beach is part of Lake Perris SRA, so if you are at Perris Beach that is because you are at Lake Perris SRA. Perris Beach is not a separate entity from Lake Perris SRA.
