Do visit Mullane Lake in close proximity to Pony Lake, it's a gorgeous lake, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Horse Ridge National Scenic Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Klamath Mountains. Cabin Creek is a lovely stream that is worth checking out, and Matthews Creek Campground is a fine local campground. This lake is one of the great places here in the Klamath Mountains.

| | High temperatures at Pony Lake through the warmest time of the year are in the 90's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's with temperatures at Pony Lake dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Pony Lake. Trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes Pony Lake a wet site; the wettest month of the year is regularly December, that's the one that rains the most, and July meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
Have a delightful hiking adventure along the Salmon Summit Recreation Trail, and Pony Lake is a magnificent place to visit for more than one day, Snipes' Villa is a magnificent place to camp nearby. At Pony Lake you can see Pony Buttes,
and glide down the rapids of Salmon River - South Fork in a kayak. These mountains rock, just check out all the enjoyable things to do in the Klamath Mountains. Rattlesnake Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, and Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is a nice local destination.
