Lake Wyandotte is a wonderful lake right next door to Ponderosa Reservoir; if you need a place to stay Feather Falls Casino and Lodge is a great choice. Why not camp at Mishop Bar Campground while       you're here at Ponderosa Reservoir; get wet paddling on Yuba River. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Loafer Creek Campground is a perfect spot to camp, and do stop at Little Sucker Run if you're here at Ponderosa Reservoir. Ponderosa Reservoir is a quite wet place generally with lots of rain; January is the month that gets the most rain, and July is when it's the driest. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing                  stuff at Ponderosa Reservoir. A stunning lake like Madrone Lake next to Ponderosa Reservoir is a brilliant place to go to, and whitewater paddling is great on Feather River - Middle Fork. Why not pop by Ponderosa Diversion Dam while you're here, and the top of Kanaka Peak is easily seen from Ponderosa Reservoir. This lake is located in the wonderful Northern Sierra Nevada. For the period of the warm months highs here at Ponderosa Reservoir get into the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 50's. Highs all through the wintertime are mostly in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Ponderosa Reservoir are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful.
