After a long day outdoors Best Western Tree House Motor Inn is a delightful place to spend a night or two; a tremendous place to camp here at Pond Lily Lake is Coffee Creek Campground and RV. This lake is so wonderful. Very delightful scenery and splendid skiing is what you get at Mount Shasta. If time allows, Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is a national park worth taking a       look at. Lakes? Sure, Grouse Lake is in the neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Trinity River, and Pond Lily Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Gumboat Campground is a good local campground. Pond Lily Lake is pretty dried up generally; the month with most of the rain is December while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. You definitely                  have to go for Pond Lily Lake. The panorama of Gozem Peak from Pond Lily Lake is striking, and hiking along the Castle Lake Trail is delightful fun. Summertime highs at Pond Lily Lake frequently tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Pond Lily Lake are in the 20's. If you come at the right time of year, Trinity River - East Fork offers some brilliant whitewater, and do take a hike on the Sisson Calahan National Recreation Trail.
