This place, the Central Sierra Nevada, has so much outdoors entertaining things. You're perhaps addicted to lakes, Fern Lake is one of those nearby, and you might also want to pay a visit to Fish Valley while you're here at Pond Lily Lake. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Reds Meadow Campground is a good campground nearby, and if you want to go to some       out of the ordinary stuff, go to Junction Bluffs. Throughout the months of summer at Pond Lily Lake temperatures are generally in the 90's with night lows in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are frequently in the 40's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Pond Lily Lake descend into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Really fine skiing awaits you at June Mountain, and Devils Postpile National Monument is one of the destinations                  that are tremendous to stop at close by. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Mammoth Rock Trail is always a great adventure, and you can stay the night at Minaret Falls Campground. Mammoth Mountain Inn is a good place to get some rest, and as expected, this is a delightful neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Rock Creek Lake is a lake in the neighborhood. Go for a hike on the Sherwin Lakes Trail, and why not a little side spree to Cold Creek. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Mammoth Mountain, and dry warm beds await you at Snowbird Condos at Mammoths Canyon Lodge. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Pond Lily Lake. A great place for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Pond Lily Lake is Mono Creek; good hiking is available along the John Muir Trail - section 2. The yearly rainfall here at Pond Lily Lake is about average; during the month of January you get the most rain around here while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Be careful coming to Pond Lily Lake, you might not ever wanna return back home again. You can run the rapids of San Joaquin River - Middle Fork near Pond Lily Lake, and one of the governing traits of the surroundings of Pond Lily Lake is Lion Point.
