     You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Santa Cruz Mountains. If you need a place to stay Costanoa is a great choice, and if you've had enough of Pomponio Reservoir, Big Lagoon is nearby. Nearby lakes? Sure, Little Lagoon is in close proximity to Pomponio Reservoir, and a pleasant close by hotel is Pescadero Creek Inn. For the period of the warm months at Pomponio Reservoir highs are ordinarily in the 60's while nighttime  
   lows are regularly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 40's to Pomponio Reservoir.
This lake is so wonderful. There is a wonderful hiking trail near Pomponio Reservoir called the Alambique Trail; San Gregorio Beach is a charming beach to explore. Burns Chalks is a peak you can catch a sight of from Pomponio Reservoir, and swing by Bloomquist Creek it's a great site to stop at. This site
 
               rules, just check out all the exciting things to do near Pomponio Reservoir. On a great day at Pomponio Reservoir you can take a hike along the Butano Ridge Loop Trail; Juan Bautista De Anza National Historic Trail is a very splendid place to check out.
That right there is lots of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Santa Cruz Mountains has it all. You should definitely dedicate some time to The Potato Patch if you're here at Pomponio Reservoir, and a spree to Pomponio Beach is always a good idea. If you came for an overnight stay Butano State Park is a perfect spot to camp, and there's whitewater on San Lorenzo River for all you adrenaline kick people. This lake is so wonderful. There are some good whitewater spots on Pescadero Creek, and why not camp at Santa Cruz North / Costanoa KOA since you're here at Pomponio Reservoir.
Pomponio Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Santa Cruz Mountains. From a precipitation point of view Pomponio Reservoir is a pretty normal place; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is July. Any time is a delightful time at Pomponio Reservoir if you have a thing about the outdoors. While you're here at Pomponio Reservoir you can take a hike along the Ano Nuevo Trail.
