Poison Lake is a lake worth visiting. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out close by Fish Lake, and wonderful hiking is available along the Deacon Lee Trail. These mountains rock, just explore all the exciting stuff to do in the Klamath Mountains. Poison Canyon is near Poison Lake and is without doubt a good location to stop by. Summer at Poison Lake comes with high temperatures in the 90's, and through summer nights temperatures

| | are in the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are frequently in the 40's with temperatures at Poison Lake dipping down into the 20's throughout winter nights. If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Klamath Mountains. Don't forget to take a good little trip to Poison Creek, and in case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Salmon River - South Fork. This lake is so wonderful. | |

There's so much to do here at Poison Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Big Flat Campground is a brilliant place for that, and Baymont Inn Yreka is a nice place to get some rest. An average amount of precipitation falls
at Poison Lake; during December this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is July. Salmon River is a glorious whitewater spot close to Poison Lake, and there's good hiking along the Tanners Peak Trail. Poison Lake is
a beautiful lake in the Klamath Mountains. Man, is there lots of fun things to do near Poison Lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Poison Lake has to offer, you can camp at Trail Creek Campground, and the Garden Gulch Trail offers hiking at its best.
