   Inn Mobile Home Park, and going for a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 8 will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. After a long day outdoors Inn Of Lancaster is a great place to spend a night or two, and if you get bored of Piute Ponds you could also visit close by Buckhorn Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A golf course next to Piute Ponds is Rancho Sierra Golf Club, and Pond Two is a nearby lake that you could take a look at.

Hi, please take a look at the attached photo.  I took it today in La Jolla Canyon, at the water fall (dry now).  Notice that a large rock appears to be loose and or without support.  It looks like the rock is supporting the trail above.  Someone should take a closer look at that rock.  In heavy rain it could come down.  It looks unstable....
