If you need a place to stay Dunsmuir Travelodge is a tremendous choice, and Pit Six Reservoir is a great place to camp, Madrone Campground is a great place. Pit Six Reservoir is located in the Southern Cascade Range. All year is a great time in the Southern Cascade Range if you adore the outdoors. Cape Horn Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at, and camping       at Pit Six Reservoir is tremendous fun, Hawkins Landing Campground is a tremendous local campground. Throughout the days of summer at Pit Six Reservoir highs are generally in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's; through the dark hours in the winter at Pit Six Reservoir temperatures drop to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Pit Six Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out. This place, Pit Six Reservoir,                  it completely has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Here at Pit Six Reservoir you'll possibly meet some people from Redding, and do take a hike on the Nelson Flat Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Southern Cascade Range. You get a delightful view of Buck Mountain from Pit Six Reservoir; there's whitewater on McCloud River for all you adrenaline people. Near Pit Six Reservoir you discover Devils Canyon which is a perfect place to go to, and you can have a fine hiking adventure along the Rough and Ready Trail. The high level of rain makes Pit Six Reservoir a rather wet place; the month with most of the rain is January while July is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
