    Go to Pit Six Reservoir if you want to go to a nice lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Southern Cascade Range. Whitewater paddling is good on Pit River, and you can go for a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 17. Just can't get enough of the Southern Cascade Range. If you came for an overnight stay Hawkins Landing Campground is a glorious location to camp; don't leave Pit Six Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Rough and Ready Trail.
 
   During the summertime months at Pit Six Reservoir highs are frequently in the 80's while overnight lows are typically in the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's, and overnight lows at Pit Six Reservoir all through the winter mostly dip into the 20's. Near Pit Six Reservoir you discover Devils Canyon which is a brilliant location to have a look at. Pit Six Reservoir typically gets much rainfall; the month with most of the rain is January; July  
               meanwhile is the driest month.
This lake is so wonderful. Madrone Campground is a wonderful local campground, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Redding here. You can spot Buck Mountain from Pit Six Reservoir, and Cape Horn Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at. This lake is so wonderful. There are nice sites to look at along the Nelson Flat Trail; as expected, this is a wonderful area for folks who like lakes, Tunnel Reservoir is a lake around here.
This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. Paddling on McCloud River is so much fun, and if you need a spot to stay Dunsmuir Travelodge is a splendid choice. And if that's not enough there's a heap more entertaining things to do in the Southern Cascade Range. An exciting thing to go to next to Pit Six Reservoir is Pit Six Dam, and almost certainly you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Pit 7 Reservoir is just a very short distance away.

While it was not anything special or out of the ordinary, the staff was friendly and accomodating and the atmosphere was very family friendly. I would suggest Fowlers to any family wanting just a nice vacation together, but if you are a camping enthusiast and are used to having high standards for your camping experience, you may want to search around a bit more before you decide to stay at Fowlers as it may be a bit more mediocre than what you are used to camping at. ...
