Stanislaus River - South Fork offers some great whitewater; you'll probably meet some people from Phoenix Lake-Cedar Ridge here. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend
Cherry Creek - West Fork, and some of the water close by flows, like Gooseberry Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Bear Valley; a good site like Fiddlers Green here at Pinecrest Lake is too great
to miss. Pinecrest Lake is right by the Emigrant Trail, and Catfish Lake is a great lake close by. At Pinecrest Lake through the summer highs are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 50's. All through the winter
this place gets highs in the 50's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Pinecrest Lake sink into the 30's.
