Some nearby water includes Garrotte Creek, and whitewater paddling is good on Clavey River. Dry warm beds       await you at Inns Of California Sonora, and paddling on Tuolumne River is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. A day on the slopes of Dodge Ridge is just what you need, and Pine Mountain Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Pine Mountain Lake Assn is a pleasant local campground. Now, you may believe that's a heap but there's even more entertaining things to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Pilot                  Ridge Trail; the peak of Jones Hill can be made out from Pine Mountain Lake. And if that's not sufficient, there's plenty more to do near Pine Mountain Lake. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Pine Mountain Lake, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's with temperatures at Pine Mountain Lake dipping down into the 30's throughout winter nights.
