Do stop by Pine Mountain Lake while you're in this part of California. Near Pine Mountain Lake you stumble on the Pilot Ridge Trail which is a delightful hiking trail, and if you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clavey River. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! The Central Sierra Nevada rules! Why not camp at River Ranch Campground if you're here at Pine Mountain Lake, and if you're here, you could stop by Garrotte Creek.

in the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 50's; night lows during the winter for Pine Mountain Lake tend to be in the 30's. You believe that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. The peak of Jones Hill can be made
out from Pine Mountain Lake, and a round of golf at nearby Pine Mountain Lake Country Club is a perfect way to kill some time.
The Central Sierra Nevada scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available
at Pine Mountain Lake Assn; Second Garrotte Basin is a wonderful site here at Pine Mountain Lake.
Now, you may think that's a heap but there's even more amusing things to do here in the Central Sierra Nevada. The skiing at Dodge
Ridge is perfect, and Tuolumne River has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot close by. At Pine Mountain Lake you always meet someone from Phoenix Lake-Cedar Ridge, and a great close by hotel is Groveland Hotel A Historic Inn.
