If you came to camp Moonshine Campground is a pleasant spot to do that; there are some tremendous whitewater spots on Yuba River - South Fork. So many cool things to do in the Northern Sierra Nevada, not sufficient time. A day at Pine Island Beach in close proximity to Pine Grove Reservoir is time well spent, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express       Hotel & Suites GOLD MINERS INN-GRASS VALLEY is a good spot to spend a night or two. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. Pine Grove Reservoir is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Hornswaggle Group Campground is a perfect local campground, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Yuba River. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Pine Grove Reservoir you can                  take a hike along the Humbug Trail; Jones Bar is also a magnificent place to discover. If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Pine Grove Reservoir. Near Pine Grove Reservoir you come across a golf course called Nevada County Country Club; on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Halls Ranch Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Northern Sierra Nevada. For the period of the summer highs here at Pine Grove Reservoir reach the 80's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and night lows at Pine Grove Reservoir throughout the winter usually sink into the 20's. Have a pleasant hiking adventure along the South Yuba Trail; lakes are such serene spots, why not take a look at New Bullards Bar Reservoir. If you need a place to stay Holiday Lodge Grass Valley is a splendid choice, and why not stop by close by Little Shady Creek if you're here at Pine Grove Reservoir.
