Why not camp at Gumboat Campground since you're here at Picayune Lake, and nearby you locate the Echo Lake Trail which is a great hiking trail. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Picayune Lake, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Picayune Lake drop into the 20's.
