This lake is so wonderful. Picayune Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Gumboat Campground is a great local campground. The Sisson Calahan National Recreation Trail is a delightful hiking trail in the neighborhood of Picayune Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Central. For the duration of the summertime here at Picayune Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it       drops down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Picayune Lake are in the 20's. This is a delightful region for people who like lakes. Gumboot Lake is a lake close at hand, and there's whitewater on Trinity River for all you thrill seekers. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes?
