Picayune Lake is a nice lake to visit. Stay the night at Red Bank Campground, and you might also want to pay a visit to China Gulch since you're here at Picayune Lake. All the outdoors cool stuff in the Klamath Mountains will keep you coming back repeatedly. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Salmon River - North Fork; a magnificent close by hotel is Baymont Inn Yreka. Yeah, come up here to the Klamath Mountains for a great time. High temperatures at Picayune Lake during the summertime months are in the 90's with night lows in the 50's. Picayune Lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Tanners Peak Trail, and do visit Big Creek since you're here at Picayune Lake. All the water falling down from the sky makes Picayune Lake a wet site; most of the rain falls
all through December while July is mostly the driest month. You are close to China Point if you're here at Picayune Lake, and there's perfect hiking along the Garden Gulch Trail.
