     Park Lane Reservoir is always a pleasure to visit. The Santa Ynez Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Ortega Reservoir, and one of the major features of the surroundings of Park Lane Reservoir is Ortega Hill. At Park Lane Reservoir all through the summer months highs are in the 90's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are  
   mostly in the 60's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Park Lane Reservoir.
Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! The Santa Ynez Mountains is excellent! You have to go to Fernald Point when you're here at Park Lane Reservoir. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Park Lane Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Blue Canyon Campground. And if you're still looking for more outdoors enjoyable stuff just keep reading. On a
 
               delightful day at Park Lane Reservoir you can take a hike along the Romero Trail, and you can stay the night at Cottam Campground. This lake is so wonderful. A perfect place close to Park Lane Reservoir is Romero Canyon, and a trip to Park Lane Reservoir wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Hot Springs.
If the weather is glorious here at Park Lane Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Cold Spring Trail, and the scenery at Ortega Dam is wonderful. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors amusing things the Santa Ynez Mountains has to offer. At Park Lane Reservoir you don’t see much rain; most of the rain falls all through February while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
Going for a hike along the San Ysidro Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Lakes are tremendous; Romero Reservoir is a lake that's near Park Lane Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. If you want to hit the beach, East Beach is in close proximity, and do take a look at Oak Creek since you're here at Park Lane Reservoir. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! Park Lane Reservoir is peerless! The views at Channel Islands National Park will blow your mind, and if you need a place to stay Inn on Summer Hill is a brilliant choice.
Now, you may think that's a load but there's even more exciting things to do here in the Santa Ynez Mountains. West Beach is next to Park Lane Reservoir if you're in a beach type of mood, and a tremendous nearby hotel is Montecito Inn.

Hi, please take a look at the attached photo.  I took it today in La Jolla Canyon, at the water fall (dry now).  Notice that a large rock appears to be loose and or without support.  It looks like the rock is supporting the trail above.  Someone should take a closer look at that rock.  In heavy rain it could come down.  It looks unstable....
