Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the San Bernardino Mountains. All year is a good time in the San Bernardino Mountains if you go for the outdoors. While you're here at Papoose Lake, you could also check out pretty Grass Valley Lake, and getting to Fern Creek from Papoose Lake is uncomplicated. Lodge; you'll discover a delightful lake called Lake Arrowhead. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Snow Valley, and the summit of Mount Sorenson can be spotted from Papoose Lake. So many fun things to do here in the San Bernardino
Mountains, too glorious to be true. Gotta ski! Snow Summit is a magnificent site to do that, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario here. Summertime highs at Papoose Lake generally tend to be in the 90's.
Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Papoose Lake are in the 20's. So many entertaining things to do here at Papoose Lake,
too perfect to be true. Don't leave Papoose Lake without first going for a hike along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 6. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Papoose Lake has to offer, you can camp at Toll Road Campground.

 | Roundtrip Distance 16 miles Elevation Gain 2,645 ft. This peak is trailless, meaning a portion or all of the route up the mountain is via an unmarked trail. For this particular mountain, the typical route is known as a ''herd path'' which is not much more than a worn, but unmarked trail. Some of the herd paths are easy to follow, others are not. In many instances the hiker will travel down a false herd path and eventually have to correct his/her course via backtracking.
