     You definitely should go for the Central Sierra Nevada. Get your pulse rate up on the fine whitewater of Mono Creek, and Snowcreek Resort is a magnificent location to get some rest. Devils Postpile National Monument is a brilliant local destination here at Papoose Lake; if you need a place to stay Rodeway Inn Sierra Nevada is a splendid choice. A charming lake like Chief Lake near Papoose Lake is a good site to check out.
The warmest time of the year brings
 
   highs in the 70's to Papoose Lake. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's while Papoose Lake night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's. It is very dehydrated here at Papoose Lake ordinarily; through the month of January you get the most rain around here, and June on the other hand is the driest. If you adore the outdoors, you'll fancy Papoose Lake. Go for a hike on the Mammoth  
               Rock Trail; Tully Hole is a brilliant spot to stretch your legs a bit.
Papoose Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Sierra Nevada. A tremendous place for whitewater paddling next to Papoose Lake is San Joaquin River - South Fork, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Mammoth Mountain is quite near. This lake is so wonderful. There are fine locations to discover along the Sherwin Lakes Trail, and Vermilion Campground is a pleasant campground nearby.
Man, is there a load of entertaining things to do in the Central Sierra Nevada. Upper Vermillion Campground is a glorious local campground, and a pleasant site is Goodale Pass. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such peaceful locations, why not visit Lake of the Lone Indian in the neighborhood of Papoose Lake; the skiing at June Mountain is delightful.
