This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Rough and Ready Trail is pleasant fun, and dry warm beds await you at Dunsmuir Inn & Suites. All the water falling down from the sky makes Owl Lake a wet place; most of the rain falls during January; July meanwhile is the driest month. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Owl Lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Owl Lake has to offer, you can camp at Rim Campground. Lakes?

| | Sure, Curtis Lake is around here. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in the Southern Cascade Range. Owl Lake is a splendid spot to visit for more than one day, Northshore Campground is a splendid spot to camp nearby. Everybody loves Bosworth Meadow, and Owl Lake is right by the Coal Mine Trail. is somewhat chillier of course, typically in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and night lows in the 20's for Owl Lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Pit River, and
why not check out close by Deadman Creek if you're here at Owl Lake. All year is a tremendous time in the Southern Cascade Range if you have a thing about the outdoors. Take a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 17, and not far from Owl Lake you'll come across Smokey Lake which is a gorgeous lake.

 | Roundtrip Distance 11.8 miles Elevation Gain 2,702 ft. This peak is trailless, meaning a portion or all of the route up the mountain is via an unmarked trail. For this particular mountain, the typical route is known as a ''herd path'' which is not much more than a worn, but unmarked trail. Some of the herd paths are easy to follow, others are not. In many instances the hiker will travel down a false herd path and eventually have to correct his/her course via backtracking.
